How to make earring hooks Step 1: make outer loop

first use side cutter to cut two pieces of wire prepared before;

Second wrap one end of one piece of wire around the jaw, and make a loop with the nose round plier;

Third never close the loop, leaving a tiny space between the wire end and loop end, as the loop will be used to hang dangles to beautify the earrings.

How to make earring hooks Step 2: curl the whole wire

Hold the bottom part of loop, and wrap the rest wire onto wrap&tap plier. Notice here the wrapping direction is opposite to the loop direction. After curling the wire, you will see the splits of loop and hook are in different way. Till the big hook shape made by wrap plier reaches wire, you can put down your plier. And use side cuter to give a flush cut? No, do not cut here!

How to make earring hooks Step 3: continue the hook work

First use round nose plier to make a slight curl on the other end of wire (just the reaching point);

Second use wire cutter to give a flush cut here.

Notice the curl has the opposite direction to loop too. The overall shape is like an arched gate.

Repeat your previous steps, and finish the other earring hook; now the pair of earring hooks is well done.
